Rugs have become an important part of interior decorating the residence and office. The rugs are made of different a material that gives the durability, feel and the value for the rugs that is used. The materials that are used for making the rugs matters with the quality and life of the rugs. The rug materials are basically of two types. One is natural ; made of plant fibers, animal fibers, cotton, sisal, bamboo, jute etc and the other is synthetic which is man made like rayon, nylon, polypropylene, acrylic etc., the woolen rugs are widely used due to its high quality of pile. This is a resilient material which is very durable.

This rug absorbs dyes and retains it. it is resistant to water, stains, fire, dust etc., cotton rugs are very strong and durable and it easily absorbs wide varieties of dyes and provides the multitude choices of colors. This rug gives nice feel and it costs less. Sisal is extracted from Agave Sis Alana plant leaves and is very popular. This rug is anti static, flame retardant and last long. It absorbs sound. Jute rugs are made from the stem fiber plants and it gives a good look and is susceptible to stains. A bamboo rug is used in high traffic area and is of good quality at a low price.

This comes in different styles and shapes. Rayon rug is of synthetic material and it resembles silk. The area rugs of different materials are preferred by the buyers and are well moving. The bamboo rugs, jute rugs etc are cheap rugs that are made of natural material and the nylon rugs that come in many varieties of colors are cheap buying. The other synthetic rugs like acrylic, rayon are also available at an affordable price that people prefer buying them.
